Sam is a Registered Nurse (Adult and Child) and Registered Midwife, and has worked in higher education since 2006. She has been an Associate Professor in Midwifery since 2015. Sam completed her MA and PhD in 2010 and 2017 respectively, researching student’s learning and assessment in clinical practice. Sam has worked as an External Examiner at three universities, is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and was the Academic Midwife for the NICE 2021 Antenatal Care Clinical Guideline Committee.
